In the early years of LibertyCon, I worked at the convention, and I gave the editor of the program book a short story I’d written. It was my second short story to see ink.
The story was called “The South Shall Rise” and appears on pages 25-27.
I remember that the very first time someone asked me for an autograph, it was Klon Newell for that story.
Klon passed away this year.
LibertyCon.org has a .PDF file of that program book available to view. You can find it under LibertyCon History, then the Past LibertyCons.
This year is the 30th LibertyCon. As of this month, they’re sold out.
I’m planning to go and sit out in the public area and see old friends.
